The online Master of Healthcare Administration degree program prepares individuals for careers as health services managers. About Bellevue University
Since its opening in 1966, Bellevue University has provided access to higher learning for more than 50,000 graduates around the world. Located a short distance from Omaha, the college’s main campus is in Bellevue, Nebraska. The initial goal of the institution was to provide a higher education for adults who were working in the local area. Within a decade of its founding, it had become the fourth-largest private college in the state. Full accreditation was achieved in 1977, and the institution diversified its offerings with accelerated bachelor’s degree programs, master’s degrees and online learning.
Bellevue University Accreditation Details
The Higher Learning Commission, a regional accreditation agency, accredits Bellevue University at the institutional level. Bellevue’s online degree programs receive the same accreditation as the on-campus programs. Additionally, the RN to BSN degree program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Bellevue University Application Requirements
New students seeking entry into a baccalaureate program must fill out an online application. A one-time application fee of $50 is required at the time the application is submitted. A high school diploma or equivalency is required before applying. If a student is transferring from another four-year college, then they are required to provide official transcripts.
Students with professional experience who are returning to academics may want to review the college’s “Discover Your Value: Turning Experience into College Credit” course. This class is designed to enable students to perform a personal evaluation concerning their learning preferences and any experiential learning that they may have mastered. Upon completion of the online course, students may pay a $150 fee to have their results reviewed by a counselor who may grant undergraduate-level credit for professional and life experience.
Prospective master’s degree program students also must fill out an online application and pay a non-refundable fee. Prerequisites for applying include holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. Students must have maintained at least a 2.5 GPA during their most recent 60 credits of college-level coursework. Transcripts of undergraduate coursework are required, and some programs may request letters of recommendation.
Military veterans are highly encouraged to apply for all Bellevue University degree programs. Such individuals may receive undergraduate-level credits as a result of their military experience and training.
Tuition and Financial Aid
Nebraska-state residents will pay approximately $298 per credit hour at the undergraduate level. Undergrads who enroll in an online program will pay approximately $415 per credit hour. A “Military Preferred” rate, which may be applied to active duty service members and their spouses is $250 per credit hours for certain degree programs. The per-credit-hour rate at the graduate level is $575 regardless of on-campus or online study.
Bellevue University is generally considered one of the Midwest’s most affordable private universities. Nonetheless, a majority of students choose at least one form of financial aid.
